The Arlington, NY Rotary Club again reached out to local sources to assist in its recent efforts to support Haiti Relief. The Club has been sending medical supplies to Caribbean Island nations in-need for several years and chose the much-deserving Palliant Hospital in Port-au-Prince Haiti this year, as a direct result of the Haiti Earthquake Disaster.
Paul Cazzolla, Director of Development for the Dutchess County Red Cross introduced Ray Norat, Arlington Rotary’s Director of International Services to entities in Haiti, towards the coordination of Rotary’s new relief efforts. In addition to all the hospital relief partners’ continuing kind donations, the Arlington Rotary is indebted to Pastor Jones and the Faith Assembly of God, Bill DelTosta, Director at the Mid-Hudson Workshop for the Disabled, Dennis Sarlo of the Bonefish Grill and Pastor Santos Rivera and the Enlarging the Circle Church, all of Poughkeepsie, for their hands-on and timely assistance with the Haiti Relief project.
Arlington Rotary President Sue Doyle noted that, “It is the concerted effort of many individuals, community service organizations, government representatives and healthcare institutions that transformed this terrific idea into reality. All of our present and past partners believed that this is a sterling example of what can be accomplished when organizations work together to achieve a common goal which benefits society across local and international boundaries.”
